As Seasons Change, God Remains the Same

As we enter into the fall season, some of us welcome the change. We are looking forward to cooler days, color-changing leaves, and all things pumpkin. For others who would be happy with an endless summer, there is not as much anticipation for the inevitable transition.

God created the earthly seasons for a reason; they are necessary so our earth can continuously experience seedtime, harvest, growth, and rebirth.

The seasons of our lives can be very relatable to the four seasons on earth, some feel like a warm summer night and others feel like a long winter day.

Today regardless of the season you consider yourself to be in one thing is certain in our lives and that is God is faithful in every season; He remains constant, reliable, and true to his promises. Hebrews 13:8 reminds us, “He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.”

Romans 8:28 says, “He works all things together for our good.” Just as the earth transforms through seasons, God does a transformative work in us as we experience different seasons of our lives.

We would not have testimonies if God never let us experience the tests, and if He shielded us from every hard season, we would not rely on Him.

God knows that both good and hard times are going to blend through our lives. Our job is to have our spiritual eyes open, look for the lesson in every season, and “accept the way God does things” (Ecclesiastes 7:13). God is our Creator and who are we to question the author of our destiny?

There is a reason for every season, Happy Fall Y’all!
