When God calls you to do something, many times in the natural, it logically doesn’t make sense. It may even seem crazy! When we study the lives of people God used in the Bible, we’ll find that what God spoke for them to do was beyond their comfort zone, even crazy!

What is God calling you to do in this season of your life? God will call you to take a step of faith that stretches you beyond your comfort zone. He will give you a promise so big it will seem overwhelming, even crazy, but He always provides a step for you to take to be a part of the divine process.

In the Bible, there was a man by the name of Gideon in Judges chapter 6 whom God found in a winepress, hiding from his enemies. God told him he would conquer the same enemies that had continually defeated Israel to the point they were hiding. How did any of this make sense in the natural? It didn’t! There was no way, with human strength, power, or wisdom, that Gideon could overcome the enemy. On that journey to the impossible, God kept asking Gideon to do what was in his power, and that God would do the impossible. God asked him to cut down and burn the false god of his city, who had been worshipped for generations. When Gideon did, his life was on the line, and people wanted to kill him. BUT GOD! God showed up, revealed himself to Gideon, and saved him. The next challenge Gideon faced was he was asked by God to take on the enemy with only three hundred men. This wasn’t because there weren’t more available, well-bodied, fighting men. This was God asking Gideon to trust Him again with the promise He gave him. This was a crazy idea! Three hundred men taking on thousands, you have to be out of your mind! BUT GOD! God again asked Gideon to do what was in his power, and God would do the impossible.

What is God calling you to today? What seems so big or so far away is just a step of obedience away from God stepping in to do His part. Learn to lean in to hear His next step in what He is calling you to do and then watch the miraculous breakthrough in your life!
