Are you frustrated with where you are spiritually?

Maybe, you've been a Christian for years but are bored. Maybe, you once gave God a try but have now given up on the whole God thing all together. Chances are there is a point where you stopped growing in your faith.

Years do not equate to maturity. The time that passes doesn't necessarily mean that you are growing in your relationship with God. What you do with that time determines your growth.

You maybe have gone to church for 20 years and never moved passed the elementary things of the faith. Your spirit man has never moved passed infancy. Stunted spiritual growth will produce apathy and religious formalities. It's God's desire for you to grow in the things of the spirit, to mature in your spiritual walk.

"I gave you milk, not solid food, you were not yet ready for it. Indeed you are still not ready. You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans?” ~1 Corinthians 3:2-3

A spiritually mature Christian can see beyond themselves. Paul goes on to say in 1 Corinthians 3, that when you fail to mature in your spiritual life, you get easily tripped up. Your appetite for the world will increase and you will stay busy trying to put out all the fires in your life. Things like strife and bitterness will distract you from moving forward in faith!

If you don't let the Holy Spirit deal with these issues, it will stop your spiritual growth dead in its tracks. You will never mature and your appetite for God will be extinguished by issues of the heart.

This kind of living will leave you completely ineffective for the kingdom of God. Instead of helping others, you will be consumed by the chaos in your own life. A mature Christian, however, is able to focus on others; they are not easily distracted by the issues of life. They can then be a blessing to those in need.

A spiritually mature Christian is steadfast--growing in the confidence that God is fully able to do that which He promised! ( Hebrews 11:1) Spiritually immature Christians will look at their life and think it is God who has let them down when God is asking them what they are doing to grow in their faith.

The possibilities of God and what He wants to do through you are limitless, but you have to be hungry and you have to invest in your spiritual growth.

As the saying goes, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is a recipe for insanity. The same is for your spiritual walk. If you are investing little--yet expecting great things, you will be disappointed. The shortcoming is not on God; the question is are you growing in your faith?

Grow to a point of faith that you are completely unmoved by what you see--knowing God is faithful to come through on your behalf!

It's never too late to start growing! If you are frustrated or have given up, decide to go all in! Become effective and steadfast in your faith!

Stop living life in cycles of chaos and move beyond spiritual milk into the deeper things that God has planned for your life!
