The Cross

But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.

Isaiah 53:5

Do you ever wish you could hit the reset button in your life?  Do you feel like life's issues are stacked up against you?  As we approach Easter, let me remind you that you have access to a new way of living. You don't have to be stuck; you can experience freedom once and for all!

The cross changed everything! Not only did Jesus's death take on the punishment of sin that would have condemned us to an eternity separated from God, but The Cross provides a new way of living! Jesus's death on the cross is an all-sufficient act that empowers us to walk in victory on earth!

Whatever you are up against or whatever is holding you back or trying to keep you down, victory has already been made through Jesus! When we accept the sacrifice that Jesus made for us by asking Him to be our Savior and Lord, a reset button has been set! The Bible says it is like we've been born new all over again (John 3:1-21)!

No longer do you have to live in the place of "if only"--if only I had a different upbringing, if only I had more money, if only I didn't make that mistake--Jesus erases it all! He offers you a fresh start and a way to live in victory over anything that tries to keep you down! Jesus's sacrifice trumps any obstacle life might serve you! Your past, upbringing, and mistakes no longer matter once you leave them at the cross.

The cross offers a life free from bondage, free from anxiety and fear, free from living in sickness and disease, and free from financial hopelessness! Jesus's sacrifice is all-sufficient, no matter your age, gender, or social status. It's for you!

Take a minute to ask Jesus to make all things new! Maybe you've received salvation but have yet to take hold of all of the redemptive aspects that The Cross brings. Receive a fresh start today, and live in peace and joy! Access that life for which Jesus died; His death offers you a new life--walk in it!

Here are some verses to pray out as you take hold of all that Jesus provided for on the cross!

Emotional and physical wholeness:

"I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prosper." 3 John 1:2

"But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed." Isaiah 53:5

Financial Provision:

"You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake, he became poor so that through his poverty might become rich." 2 Corinthians 8:9

Forgiveness of Sins:

"He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins." Ephesians 1:7
