The Christian Life is the Best Life

“For I know the plans I have for you”, says the Lord, “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” - Jeremiah 29:11

Hello everyone. How amazing is our Lord Jesus Christ who freely laid his life down for us. It is by his grace we are saved. I pray this writing leaves you strengthened and encouraged as you fight the good fight of faith. I am a firm believer in that the christian life is the best life. The christian life is much different from the life of the unbeliever. And when I say the christian life, I mean those who truly live by the teachings of Jesus. These are the people who are doers of the word and not just hearers. Not people who just go by the motions and do the church thing every Sunday.

I believe it is the best life because of what He has done for us and what He is capable of doing through us. We understand through Scripture that God saved us by the work of the cross and that we have no need to work for it. We are citizens of heaven and our names are written in the Lamb’s book of life. Paul teaches in 1 Thessalonians 5 that we have a hope unlike the unbelievers. Furthermore, because of the endless things he has done for us, it causes us to shine our lights brighter than ever. Jesus says we are the light of the world, like a city on a hill. We live lives of humility, gentleness, hospitality, service, and love. This sacrificial life makes it best for us and for the world around us.
